Day 4 Blog (Tuesday, May 21)

Today we went to the Bellbrook Canoe site. As we left the school, a realization struck the teachers. We had boarded the wrong bus. After boarding the correct bus, we were off! The canoe sight was beautiful. I recognized it once we got out of the bus. Because I had previously been canoeing there with my uncle, I had an idea of what to expect. Once my friends and I were steadily kayaking in a calm area of water, we decided to take a moment of silence. The greenest of trees surrounded us and hung above. A bird was singing as we passed through. My friends and I floated down the river in silence for a bit. We heard birds of all types. One specific bird had a lovely call. I had concentrated on that single call as we drifted down the river. I also heard the light splashing of the water. This came from the water splashing against the kayak. As we proceeded, I took mental note of the visuals. The tall green trees towered above us. Sitting in the little kayak made me feel small. I had also noticed all the fluff coming off the trees. It looked like little fairies flying all around. It made me feel like I was in a magical world. Even though I got seriously wet and cold, I still had lots of fun. This was my very first time kayaking and I know for sure it will not be my last!

To make a ocean it takes a seashell and a pinch of salt.

A slight breeze with a hint of sea-grass.

Some colorful coral will do

If fish are few
